The six-year-old fox terrier called Peppa was attacked as she swam at a popular beach.
She was left writhing in agony from an allergic reaction to the jellyfish venom.
Owner Geraint Evans, 45, got the much-loved pet to a vet in time to save her life.
Geraint said: "Peppa was in a bad way and getting worse.
"We didn't know what it was at first but there were jellyfish on the sand.
"The vets say she encountered one in the water and was badly stung.
