Re: A Chinese restaurant is facing possible closure after complaints about the smells coming from the kitchen by a judge who lives nearby. Lord Justice Sir Gary Hickingbottom, 64, said the aromas from The Summer Palace were wafting into their £525,000 home near Llanfaff Cathedral, Cardiff. The local council has upheld the complaint meaning the restaurant, which has been there for 30 years, is facing court action.
