"It just looked unfazed because passing cars and people didn't seem to scare him off"
"I then noticed another dead pigeon lying nearby"
"It was heartbreaking and looked as if he was trying to revive her, as if he wouldn't accept his partner's death"
"Other people noticed me and started looking at the birds too, it was so moving"
"You could see him trying to revive the other pigeon, pecking her gently, moving her with its leg"
"At some point he climbs on top and it was as if he was trying to carry her away"
"I was almost in tears, pigeons get such bad publicity but later I discovered they stick to one partner for life".
"I was there for about 45 minutes in the early afternoon, then returned after an hour or so to still see them both there"
