Robert Ian Bolton secretly bought a smartphone – something he was banned from doing – and began searching for youngsters.
The dad-of-six found what he thought was a 13-year-old girl and bombarded her with hundreds of disgusting sexual messages before arranging to meet at Swansea train station for sex in a B&B.
In fact he had been conversing with members of a ‘paedophile hunter’ group.
A judge at Swansea Crown Court told Bolton he had no doubt he posed a serious risk to children and imposed an extended six-year sentence on him.
