Re: A long-running neighbourly dispute saw one man attack another with a JCB digger, Swansea Crown court has heard.
The alleged victim was trapped against a wall by the earth-mover during the incident, and said he “feared for his life”.
The Court heard the dispute between neighbours Bobby Vijay and Tony Mallon had rumbled on for more than a decade, with both parties making numerous calls to police in that time.
The men owned neighbouring plots of land in Glanamman, Carmarthenshire and the conflict between the pair revolved around the issue of a right of way, the court heard.
Mallon, 55, denies assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and a racially aggravated public order matter which relates to a separate incident between the men some 10 months later when he is said to have called Mr Vijay “a black boy”.
