Sophie Chanel Ward had become unhappy with a car she had bought from Mr Parvin after the engine seized up shortly after she bought it off him leading to a long-running civil dispute.
On October 15 last year Mr and Mrs Parvin were woken by banging on their door and the doorbell being rung at their home in the Gendros area of Swansea, south Wales.
Mr Parvin went downstairs and opened the front door and saw a man, Luke Dominic Cullen, standing outside with his hand behind his back.
He was asked “Are you Daniel Parvin?” and he said no before closing his door and locking it and telling his wife to call the police.
Cullen was given a 60-week prison sentence suspended for two years. He must complete a rehabilitation activity requirement of 20 days and complete 150 hours unpaid work.
Ward was given a 27-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. She must also undergo a rehabilitation activity requirement for 20 days.
