Simon Madgwick, 34, demanded cash up front to fight bogus compensation claims for his victims.<br />
A judge said one 94-year-old man was “bled dry” after giving Madgwick his savings of £39,000.<br />
Swansea Crown Court heard Madgwick blew £53,800 from his illegal scheme on his love of gambling.<br />
He admitted nine charges of fraud and four of forgery at Swansea Crown Court.<br />
Judge Paul Thomas told him: “You deliberately targeted elderly victims in order to extract large sums of money for them.
