Generous locals raised nearly £1,400 for the memorial after reading about plans to hold a fitting ceremony for the newborn baby whose body was discovered in Cardiff a year ago.
The funeral took place at the Briwnant Chapel at Thornhill Crematorium, Cardiff. Members of the public are invited to be among the congregation.
