Re: Harry Blackburn saved the lives of two people after the car they were driving ended up on its roof in a fast-flowing river in the Brecon Beacons, Wales, UK.
Harry, 22, had been climbing Pen y Fan with friends when he saw the vehicle which had somehow flipped upside down and was rapidly filling with water.
"There was a screech of tyres and a bang" said Harry, adding that the incident happened as the group returned to where they'd parked near Pont Cwm y Fedwen waterfall.
As he got closer, the Swansea University graduate said he could hear the continuous sound of the car's horn blaring and its radio blasting out.
As he then waded into the freezing cold weir, Harry, from Newport, south Wales, could see both air bags in the car had been deployed and driver staring at him through the window.
Harry then left the driver on the riverbank to be tended to by his friends while he went to rescue the person in the passenger seat, who he discovered to be on all fours and bleeding from the head.
