Re: Horse trader Thomas Price who was convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to animals, has been jailed and banned for life from keeping animals by Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates' Court, Wales, UK.<br />
Price, 56, of Bonvilston, Vale of Glamorgan, was sentenced to six months in a case brought by three councils.<br />
A total of 240 horses were taken into care after they were found in atrocious conditions the court heard.<br />
A flock of sheep in a poor state of health was also rescued.
